On average, orthotics last around 2-3 years, however, as these are custom devices it is important to note that the length of time can vary significantly from person to person. For some people, they can last significantly longer whereas children with growing feet or professional athletes may need to replace them more regularly.
As shoes can be incredibly diverse, it is not guaranteed that your orthotic devices will be able to fit in all typed of shoes, particularly with open heels or dress shoes.
